The USBA/WBA Top Breaker Program

As an organization, the USBA/WBA takes pride in the strong relationships and lasting bonds that have been built with many of the top Martial Arts’ competitors and practitioners in the World. You will see many of the same faces year after year at USBA/WBA events. The USBA/WBA is more than an empty association, it’s a family!

Many of our competitors are returning faces year after year. They are the backbone of the USBA/WBA and the driving force behind our push to add more quality venues and member benefits. The Top Breaker Program is a way for us to recognize and reward loyal USBA/WBA Member Competitors who consistently attend and compete at USBA/WBA sanctioned events, as well as recognize their progress in breaking.

The Top Breaker program is based on your “Lifetime” accumulated points. Simply put, although your points will reset at the beginning of the tournament year for the purposes of seeding and COY, the Top Breaker program is an ongoing accumulation of your points, competition after competition, year after year. Starting in 2018 points will be accumulated on ALL Circuits! (Previously points only accumulated on the World/National circuit). As a loyal USBA/WBA Member Competitor you will receive additional benefits and opportunities at various USBA/WBA sanctioned events you attend. This is at no additional cost to you.

Members who achieve a level of Top Breaker may submit one photo to be added to the Top Breaker page. Lifetime point totals will be assessed on or around July 1st of each year. Members who reach a Top Breaker Level will be recognized at the USBA/WBA Hall of Fame that year.

Earn Bonus Points
There are three ways to earn bonus points toward Top Breaker.

• Competition Records: If a Member Competitor sets a new Competition Record at a USBA/WBA Sanctioned Event they will receive additional points toward their Top Breaker total. For each competition record, Member Competitors will receive an additional 15 points for a new record and 5 points if they tie an existing record.
• World Records: If a Member Competitor sets a Sanctioned USBA/WBA World Record they will receive an additional 72 points. If they tie an existing World Record they will receive 36 points. (Team records will split points received between attemptees).
• Special Promotions: From time to time we will be offering special bonus point opportunities for Member Competitors.

Here is how it works. Each time you reach a new level of accumulated points you will receive the benefits outlined under each level.
