FRIDAY NIGHT- THE USBA/WBA PRO-SERIES FINALE

It is finally here! In the making since early 2017, the USBA/WBA Pro-Series Finale will take place Friday night at the Northeast Open!

Over the last year and a half Black Belts from all over North America have competed in the USBA/WBA Black Belt Challenge to earn a spot in the USBA/WBA Pro-Series. They had to be prepared for anything because divisions were randomly selected the morning of each Black Belt Challenge. This made for exciting and unpredictable events.

At the USBA/WBA North American Breaking Championships in April 4 Lightweight and  4 Heavyweight Men did battle to earn their spot at the finale. It was an awesome display of power, creative, and speed breaking. Each of the semi-finalists brought something unique. After the dust settled we had 2 Lightweights and 2 Heavyweights left, moving on to this finale!

So here is the line-up:

For the Heavyweights we have Master Clinton Murphy facing off against Mr. Daniel Padin. Both are practitioners of American Filipino Kun Tao and both are experienced breakers. They regularly train together, but only one will be named the Heavyweight Champion.

And in the Lightweight Finale we have Mr. Kenneth Goodrich facing off against Mr. Seth Britton. Mr. Goodrich is a Tae Kwon Do practitioner and Mr. Britton a practitioner of Traditional Karate. Both men put on an awesome display of creativity at the Pro-Series Semi-Finals. We are looking forward to see who will be named the Lightweight Champion!

And if that is not enough, the first ever Female Black Belt Challenge! The Black Belt Challenge is the most unique event in any competition. Why? Because competitors do not know what they are competing in until right before the competition! They have to be prepared for any “challenge”. Competitors choose from a number of cards with secret challenges and then compete in those challenges.

Add to that some awesome demonstrations, including a very special opening by Team Pil-Sung! Don’t miss the USBA/WBA Pro-Series Finale!
