Event: USBA/WBA Hall of Fame Awards Banquet and Breaking Championships

Date/Time: Hall of Fame Awards Banquet- Friday, November 16- 6-10 pm; Tournament- Saturday, November 17- 9:30 am start time; Doors open at 8:30 am.
Hall of Fame info: The 5th USBA/WBA Hall of Fame, celebrating our 13 year anniversary, will include a buffet style dinner and cash bar. It is a family oriented event. Awards will be presented and recognition will be given to Competitors of the Year, World Records, individuals who have been influential in the growth of the USBA/WBA, and more. A chance to connect with fellow Martial Artists interested in the art of breaking and competitive breaking, reflect on the first 13 years of the USBA/WBA, and a look at the future. Adults- $65, children under 12- $25. Banquet tickets must be purchased by November 2nd.
Hall of Fame Nominations: We are looking for your input! If you are a USBA/WBA Member we want your vote. Spanning the last 2 years since the 2016 HOF, who had the best break? Who is the most improved breaker? Who displays the ultimate competitive spirit? Who is a person that helps to the very end? These categories and more. Make your nomination and help those deserving receive some recognition. All nominees receive a certificate if attending. Winners announced at the Awards Banquet.
Special room rates: Courtyard Marriott, 63 Grand Street, Waterbury, CT is offering a discounted room rate. Friday 11/16 and Saturday 11/17- $100 per night. For reservations call the hotel directly at 203-596-1000. To receive the group discounted rate, please refer to the group name “United States and World Breaking Association”. Group rate is $100 plus tax. Cut-off date for group reservations is 10/17/2018.

Breaking competition categories: First Time Breaker, Creative Wood, Creative Open, Power Concrete (Hand, Elbow, Foot), Concrete Side Kick, Power Wood, Unspaced Power Wood, Double Power Wood Hand and Elbow; all ages, ranks, and genders.
Registration Pricing: Before October 26- First Time Breakers- $50 (includes boards and community stand fee, competitors who register in First Time Breaker may not compete in other events); Other USBA/WBA divisions- $50 for 1st, $15 for 2nd, $10 each additional
Deadline for pre-registration is October 26, 2018. October 27 and after- First Time Breakers- $60; Other USBA/WBA divisions- $60 for 1st, $20 for 2nd, $10 each additional
Spectator fees: Adults and Children 13 and older- $5, 12 and under FREE. Hall of Fame Banquet attendees FREE.
Material pricing: Boards- $2-$2.50, Blocks- $2.75, Community Stand Fee- $8. Materials orders must be submitted by November 2, 2018.

Rating info: All USBA/WBA members will receive the following points toward World/National ratings: 1st place- 5 points, 2nd- 4 points, 3rd- 3 Points.
